Im buying a used Rodeo, obviously, because its cheap. But that would be pointless if the paint i have to get is really expensive, aren’t there some sort of cheap-o paintballs that will run in it?

Culling area herds of wild Horses were to be sent south of the border to either the rodeo contractor or for slaughter. Some were sold at a public auction while others were rescued at .10/lb in lieu of the trucks. Over 60 head of horses were saved from a dismal fatal fate. Foals were reunited with their mothers, mares gave birth, stallions were gelded. Many came in thin but have since fattened up. The injured received treatment. Many have since found homes. The remaining "wild" horses from Warm Springs are being trained and given a chance to be part of the Spirit of the West.

so that is where they come from! the the rescue place has these two pregnant mares that we are going to take in for 6 months what do you thank!!
we have never had a foal!
I have been around the "wild" horses that we are going to take in!
there name s are mariah and Dulcebella!
they would not be ours, so we would not have to train them!
and I have been around foals before cus there are 6 more at the rescue. and they are really friendly
they need a place to stay for 6 months and we are have that! and it would be a good experience for me!
so what do you guy thank?

o and I do not believe in slaughter and I do believe in it, you get the point! ! but I tank it in great what this place is doing!

What are the guys called at rodeos who pull the riders off the Broncs?

My family went to the rodeo today, and it’s not the first time we’ve been, but we started wondering what these guys are called who pull the bronc riders off the broncs after their rides. Not only that but also after the bull rides, if the bulls dont want to go to the back, they lasso them up and take them back. And things like that. They basically assist from the rodeo floor.

For you non-Rodeo people?

Our rodeo is in town this week. There seems to be lots of questions on the bucking stock. So, last night I made it a goal to watch how the stock was handled.

Hary Vold is our stock contractor and I got to meet him last night and I asked him about all the abuse that doesn’t happen that people say happens and ya know what he said?
He said that anyone can make any sport look bad. Our problem is PETA, just like what they did to the slaughter houses. He invites anyone to come and watch how his people handle stock.

So, non-rodeo people, would you goto a rodeo and see for yourselves what really goes on or would you rather just sit in front of your computer and watch PETA videos on youtube?

I am not trying to be tacky! I am just wanting to know if you would put down your predjudices and see what really happens.
Yoda, that is a FANTASTIC link!! thanks for providing it.

Ya’ll click on yoda’s link, you will be amazed!
CNS you crack me up!!

Mule, I know what you mean bout calf ropoing but honestly, the calves don’t hurt unless you get a roper that doesn’t know what he is doing. Then it makes ya go "ouch".
Brandy, I gave you a thumbs up b/c you answered how you felt.

I won’t go into the rest of your answer.
femroper, yes that is why I posted the question, I also got mad and then when I met Harry Vold I asked him that and so hence the question. Your very welcome.
misyi, no i am not competing this year. my good horse hurt his hock so I am just working it. But if you wanna come on down your more than welcome!!
Hey john, this ain’t my first Rodeo!! I have done this for 20 yrs!! I’ll tell Harry tonight.

CR…you are so right! hahahaha

what makes bulls at the rodeo buck?

i’v seen alot of folks on here that don’t know nothing about bull riding ,proably never been to a rodeo !maybe seen one on tv .what makes the bull buck is the flank rope ,it’s made from 3/8 soft cotton rope ,and it DOES NOT have the bulls genitals tied in them ,i’ve tied flanks and rode bulls for 20 years .there may be stock contractors who don’t feed like they should but the majority treat the bulls better than most humans ,feeding supplements ,etc.. so for those who are on here talking out the side of your head on a subject you know nothing about except what a meat head has told you ask someone who is in the business ,bull riding is the most dangerous sport in the world and you learn alot about yourself when you crawl onto 2000 lbs of muscle and feel that power i’ve seen guys jump out of the chute when they feel the power of that first bull and some never overcome that fear ,but for those who do it’s the best few seconds you can have ,check out some bull riding sites and learn !
first off the flank rope isn’t tight as a rule of thumb you leave it loose enough to slide your hand under ,as for the spurs this isn’t clint eastwoods spurs they are made for bull riding and they are not sharp ,they are rounded as to not hurt the bull ,look up a product called gator rowels and find a sharp place on them they are the basic standard in the sport i would give you a website but didn’t see one in the ad thay are made by presa enterprises, the guys wearing sharp spurs and jingle bobs are k mart cowboy wanna be’s if your gonna try to make a point look into it first don’t guess ,rodeo is not a tv western ,as for the bull being scared you’ve obviously never been around cattle much less bucking bred bulls look on you tube for little yellow jacket he throws you the goes to the middle of the arena as to show off ,a 1500 to 2000 lb bull scared of a 150 or 170 lb man yea right ….
bulls are probaly scared when a guy from the slaughter house is killing them then you guys eat them so be careful as to what you accuse folks of
