Question by desiree_jade410: how do i look up a race horse’s back ground?
my friend is renting a house, her landlord has 5 horses on the property. (2 mares, and 3 fillies) one of the mares has a numbered tattoo on the inside of her upper lip, and was once registered to the maine standard bred breeders and owners association. the only thing we know about her is she has never had a saddle on her, and she was a racer. how can i look her up to find out her name, and past history?

Start here: www.ustrotting.com/usta/transfer.cfm. about 3/4 the way down the page there is a place where you can look up horses by tattoo numbers, you can take it from there
